New Words

Sometimes the words are too many or too few, they get lost and get confused among a thousand and more useless thoughts or they dry up in the arid land that no heart consoles, solitude.
Words accompanied by the measure of listening and looking, these are the words that everyone needs. Words that have a voice, but hearing and eyes and touch to experience first-hand the groans and laments of the innocent.
Words that do not confuse one’s own with that of others, causing the latter to suffocate, but which unite mine and yours and his and theirs in a single name, ours.
Balanced words that delve deeply and reveal the best of themselves not as a subject but as a complement. Words, that is, that do not seek domination, but immerse themselves in hospitality. Words that do not express favor for the prevarication and abuse and mockery of those who suffer, but which sweeten their sound to be a caress that consoles and a hand that dries the tears.
