In books I look for honesty, for better or for worse, because honest writing is a voice and a sign that builds bridges, ties, that shows realities that one feels part of even though they don’t belong to us, that indicates paths of meeting and sharing.
A book is a trail to follow or to avoid, to choose or to ban, but it is always a reminder of life and inner freedom that no one should ever forget to cultivate.
In books I look for honesty both when I read and when I write and, in the latter case, it is precisely the honesty of the word I use to narrate or reflect, it is honesty that makes me decide whether or not to share the essence of a voice listened to or of a researched and constructed reflection.
In fact, every writer has the responsibility to be honest and should never forget or abjure his duty towards writing and the reader in the name of fame and/or gain.
Reading and writing are commitments that do not involve the simple chronological time employed, but pertain to the inner time of passion and the search for meaning and truth.
Honesty, this I seek, this I offer.

Nei libri cerco onestà, nel bene e nel male, perché una scrittura onesta è una voce e un segno che costruisce ponti, legami, che mostra realtà di cui ci si sente parte nonostante non ci appartengano, che indica percorsi di incontro e di condivisione.
Un libro è una pista da seguire o da evitare, da scegliere o bandire, ma è sempre un richiamo alla vita e alla libertà interiore che nessuno mai dovrebbe dimenticare di coltivare.
Nei libri cerco onestà sia quando leggo che quando scrivo e, in quest’ultimo caso, è proprio l’onestà della parola che impiego per nararre o riflettere, è l’onestà che mi fa decidere se condividere o meno l’essenza di una voce ascoltata o di una riflessione ricercata e costruita.
Ogni scrittore, infatti, ha la responsabilità di essere onesto e non dovrebbe mai dimenticarsene o abiurare al proprio dovere verso la scrittura e il lettore in nome delle fama e/o del guadagno.
Leggere e scrivere sono impegni che non implicano il semplice tempo cronologico impiegato, ma afferiscono al tempo interiore della passione e della ricerca di senso e di verità.
Onestà, questo io cerco, questo io offro.
