C’è poesia nella memoria, un sentimento di malinconia che non rende succubi della nostalgia e del rimpianto, ma che di questi fa strumento per guardare avanti e oltre non senza aver guardato bene nel profondo di sé.
Questo il messaggio che raccolgo dal racconto tenero ma tenace di Maria Antonietta Mattei nel suo libro “Tornano le cose al loro posto” (iod edizioni, 2022), un titolo che è di per sé poesia e che in copertina indica in corsivo le parole “le” e “al loro” quasi a voler sottolineare la pluralità differenziata degli eventi che colpiscono ogni vita (“le”) e il fatto che il posto cui “le cose” devono tornare possa non essere quello che noi abbiamo immaginato, ma quello per cui esse sono vissute (“al loro”).
Il filo conduttore è il senso di svuotamento per la perdita dell’amato marito Luca, ma questo amore diventa occasione per ripensare a tutti i legami che hanno fatto della protagonista casa e rifugio per la vita e le esperienze di ogni incontro che, sebbene nato dall’occasione, non è mai stato occasionale e frantumato dalla sporadicità e provvisorietà poiché ha sempre lasciato un segno profondo, qualche volta una cicatrice dolorosa.
Un racconto nel presente che, grazie agli oggetti comuni del quotidiano, diventa ricostruzione del passato e consapevolezza non solo del cammino percorso, ma di quanto ancora possa essere costruito nonostante il dolore e la sensazione di solitudine.
Così, ogni capo di abbigliamento che la protagonista si accinge a stirare diventa motivo di memoria, di ricongiungimento, di tenerezza o anche angoscia, ma mai ragione per estraniarsi dal proprio tempo e dalle proprie scelte.
Gli oggetti, dunque, sono narrazioni in sé, costituiscono la spina dorsale di una memoria che è più forte del semplice ricordo poiché si pone come ponte nel tempo e oltre il tempo tra le persone e il loro cuore.
Molte e di diverso tenore le memorie che ritornano (il lavoro, l’amore, la famiglia, la malattia, la sofferenza propria e dell’altro, lo sfruttamento e la solitudine), ma in ciascuna memoria quello che conta di più è la capacità che ha l’autrice di rivelarne la poesia.
Ogni azione, a volte timidamente, è una lirica scritta alla vita, composta nella gioia o nel dolore, accesa dalla speranza e dalla condivisione.
