They say the anguish of the century is “leaving a mark of yourself”. Could it be true?
It seems to me, indeed, that most people want to erase every sign with them, use all possible signs in their own favor, stop being determined, but hide the best of themselves in the illusion of being able to feel better for themselves.
Individualism, that is, is so strong that it does not allow us to imagine the permanence of ourselves where our physical body is absent.
It is not interesting leaving a footprint after you, but consuming every step trampling on everyone and everything as long as it does not move by itself.
It is really sad.

A me sembra, invece, che i più desiderino cancellare con sé ogni segno; usare tutti i segni possibili a proprio favore; smettere di determinarsi, ma occultare il meglio di sé nell’illusione di poter stare meglio per sé.
L’individualismo, cioè, è così forte da non consentire di immaginare la permanenza di noi stessi là dove il nostro corpo fisico sia assente.
Non interessa lasciare un’orma dopo di sé, ma consumare ogni passo calpestanto tutti e ogni cosa purché non ci si sposti da sé.
È veramente triste.
