Words have a weight that we tend to forget by lightly ranting about anything even though we don’t know its meaning.
In this way the words apparently lose their thickness, they seem useful to fill the gaps, they appear to us as a manifest of our visibility, we use them to fill the time of silence even at the cost of concentration.
In this way we waste words, we make them degenerate, we fill them with impulses and signs that betray them and betray the value and depth of what we are saying.
Words are not fillers but signs, not digressions but content, not appearance but substance of our choices.
Often, however, we waste them, we use them improperly, we exploit them to give ourselves a tone, we abuse them to pretend what we are not. The more beautiful silence would be in these cases, the more praiseworthy the listening, the more valuable the search for meaning.
Words are not tools that embellish us, but they are possibilities of confrontation and encounter, of dialogue and knowledge, of life that is renewed and created.

Le parole hanno un peso che tendiamo a dimenticare sproloquiando con leggerezza su qualsiasi cosa sebbene non se ne conosca il significato.
In questo modo le parole, apparentemente, perdono di spessore, ci sembrano utili a riempire i vuoti, ci appaiono come manifesto della nostra visibilità, le usiamo per riempire il tempo del silenzio anche a costo della concentrazione.
Così sprechiamo le parole, le facciamo degenerare, le colmiamo di impulsi e significati che le tradiscono e tradiscono il valore e la profondità di quello che stiamo dicendo.
Le parole non sono riempitivi ma segni, non divagazioni ma contenuto, non apparenza ma sostanza delle nostre scelte.
Spesso, invece, le sprechiamo, le usiamo in maniera impropria, le sfruttiamo per darci un tono, le abusiamo per fingerci ciò che non siamo. Quanto più bello sarebbe il silenzio in questi casi, quanto più lodevole l’ascolto, quanto più pregevole la ricerca di senso.
Le parole non sono strumenti che ci imbellettano, ma sono possibilità di confronto e incontro, di dialogo e conoscenza, di vita che si rinnova e crea.
