Every person has the right to say freely what he/she thinks, but never it has to forget that every right builds a relationship with the life of the others. However, because we are not deeply aware of what this kind of freedom means, we need to refer to a deontological code which could control our freedom is never offensive and dangerous to the others.

When we speak of freedom of speech we don’t have to imagine the possibility to say whatever we want, but the ability to control what we are saying in terms of truth, respect, authenticity. Our words shouldn’t be used as weapons against whoever we don’t agree with, but they MUST be employed to denounce the abuses, whatever they are and whoever is perpetrating them.

Freedom of speech does not give us the liberty to speak in order to speak, but it suggests to us not to be silent when something wrong is happening for the general interest and not because of our own easy.

There is, then, something stronger than a written moral code to be followed; there exist a moral code to be embodied every instant of our life, one that cannot be proclaimed only when it is good for us.

This told and confirmed, let’s say what happen when freedom of speech is abolished or oppressed and persecuted: none has the opportunity to speak, criticism, comment, think differently, denounce. None has the opportunity to interact with his history and choices being compelled to accept without discussing.

This is the end of democracy, this is the end of freedom, this is the end of any right which does not receive the consent of the power that seems to close every right and every choice in its hands.  This is the way in which democracy changes in sovereigntism and sovereigntism  in dictatorship.

This is the reason why any person, above all those who use words in their jobs, should respect the moral code they embody and not the tyranny  of the power and they must continue denouncing  falsity and deceit with the strength of their courage and authenticity.

As a writer and an intellectual, I will never consent them to close up my mouth!

 

Ogni persona ha il diritto di dire liberamente ciò che pensa, ma non deve dimenticare mai che ogni diritto costruisce una relazione con la vita degli altri. Comunque, poiché non siamo profondamente consapevoli di ciò che questo tipo di libertà significhi, dobbiamo riferirci a un codice deontologico che possa accertarsi che la nostra libertà non sia mai offensiva e pericolosa per gli altri.

Quando si parla di libertà di parola non dobbiamo immaginare la possibilità di dire qualsiasi cosa vogliamo, ma la capacità di controllare ciò che stiamo dicendo in termini di verità, rispetto, autenticità. Le nostre parole non dovrebbero essere usate come armi contro chiunque non rientri nel nostro favore, ma esse devono essere usate per denunciare gli abusi, qualsiasi essi siano e chiunque li stia perpetrando.

La libertà di parola non ci dà la possibilità di parlare per parlare,  ma ci dice di non restare zitti quando qualcosa di sbagliato accade contro l’interesse generale e non perché  per il nostro comodo.

Esiste, allora, un codice morale più forte di quello scritto, c’è un codice morale da incarnare ogni istante della propria vita, uno che non si proclama solo quando ci fa comodo.

Detto e confermato questo, diciamo che cosa accade quando la libertà di parola sia abolita o oppressa e perseguitata: nessuno ha la possibilità di parlare, criticare, commentare, pensare diversamente, denunciare. Nessuno ha la possibilità di interagire con la propria storia e le proprie scelte poiché è costretto ad accettare senza discutere.

Questa è la fine della democrazia, questa è la fine della libertà, è la fine di ogni diritto che non riceva il consenso del potere che sembra racchiudere tra le proprie mani ogni diritto e ogni scelta. questo è il modo in cui la democrazia diventa sovranismo  e il sovranismo dittatura.

Questo è il motivo per cui ogni persona, soprattutto quelle che usano le parole nel proprio lavoro, devono rispettare il codice morale che incarnano e non i soprusi del potere e devono continuare a denunciare la falsità e l’inganno con la forza del loro coraggio e autenticità.

Da scrittrice e intellettuale non permetterò mai che mi chiudano la bocca!
